It’s been a long time coming – the M05

Tradesoft is proud to present the fruits of co-operation with Templar’s Gear: tactical combat gear with the Finnish M05 camouflage! The aim of this co-operation is to fill a torso-sized hole in the Finnish gear market: before this, it was not possible to have a full combat gear set available with the domestic M05 pattern.

We had contemplated on acquiring M05 combat gear before, but had not found a suitable manufacturer before Templar’s Gear. The actual idea of this project was born in the fall of 2017 when the first Templar’s Gear products landed at our headquarters. After finding a suitable friend and partner in Poland, it was obvious that we had to present this gift to the airsoft/reserve forces/military/defence forces/SRA shooting communities and everyone interested in the Finnish camouflage pattern.

Inquisitor Plate Carrier with ROC Attachment

Inquisitor is the mother of all combat/plate carriers. Large-ish but comfortable. Enveloping but protecting. This feeling of protection hasn’t been felt since the womb’s embrace. To make this feeling into reality, the Inquisitor naturally needs ballistic plates inside. The plate carrier is compatible with BALCS and SAPI plates (at least.) The set includes the carrier itself and a cummerbund. For those who want more protection, there are the separate neck-nape-shoulder covers, upper arm covers and abdomen/groin covers.

Features:

  • Unbelievable lightness: Size M weighs 1220 grams and size L 1300 grams
  • Manufactured from 500D Foxdura
  • ROC system buckles. Additional detachable cummerbund underneath which can be used to tidy up the sides and the carrier fits on tighter. For quicker release it can be taken out!
  • Option for attaching front and back panels. Front panel attachment is compatible with most SwiftClip system chest rigs and panels! Attachment buckles are the finest of National Moulding. The platform for attaching front panels has loop velcro along the whole upper part and so, even with heavy loads, the panels won’t be even slightly ajar or droopy. CPC panels fit!
  • Option for attaching different types of danglers, i.e. fanny-bag like pouches, to hang beneath the front plate bag. Templar’s Gear’s own abdomen and groin cover can also be attached here
  • Stiffened cummerbund with stretch material. Pouches can be attached to both sides.
  • Heaps of securing loops for tidying up and dragging handle at the back
  • Size M carrier has a 6 × 3.5 PALS matrix on the front plate bag for attaching magazine pouches and 4 × 2.5 + 2 × 1 PALS matrices for other pouches. In addition, a 16 × 4.5 cm velcro platform on the chest. The upper matrix sides have reinforced spots for e.g. a radio PTT. The “wings” of the front plate bag have 4 × 3 PALS matrices.
  • Size L carrier has a 6 × 3.5 PALS matrix on the front plate bag for attaching magazine pouches and 4 × 3 + 2 × 1 PALS matrices for other pouches. In addition, a 16 × 4.5 cm velcro platform on the chest. The upper matrix sides have reinforced spots for e.g. a radio tangent. The “wings” of the front plate bag have 4 × 3 PALS matrices.
  • The rear plate bag has a 6 × 8 PALS matrix and a 4 × 1 PALS row above it. The back also has a velcro loop platform for all kinds of insignia (SAWT, FBI, BURGER GUARD.) The platform is slightly shaped but the outer dimensions are approx. 23.5 × 14 cm.
  • Cummerbund has a 5 × 3 PALS-matrix. The “between-spots” can also be used, greatly helping with attaching a chest rig for use a panel!
  • Both sizes have 1 × 4.5 PALS matrices on the shoulder. Comfort pads with velcro attachment are included.

Rapid Open Connectors – Divide and rule

The undeniable benefit of the ROC system is a kind of a positive immutability: fit adjustments won’t change after setting/making them just right as the plate carrier closes with buckles on the front which always lock on the same way. More traditional velcro closure is always attached with different tightness and when opening the front flap the pouches and magazines are often in the way. The back of the carrier however has a gap for adjustments if need be – even with the back panel attached! Leaving out the velcro makes the carrier narrower at the front so even with ballistic plates the carrier isn’t as thick as traditional plate carriers.

The undeniable benefit of the ROC system is also quickness, especially when taking off the carrier. The carrier can be taken off in seconds if needed when someone is underwater or injured are being patched up. Opening all the buckles makes the front plate bag completely detach from the rear plate bag so the carrier won’t even by chance stay on as a tangled spaghett around the user, but rather disassembles to easily manageable small units. When it comes to the Inquisitor, the strip off speed is affected by the amount of additional covers and whether or not the second cummerbund is used. Nevertheless opening the ROC buckles makes the +1 check pretty quick even if the ballistic plates still keep the carrier slightly in one piece.

Panel On – Panel Off

The configuration of the plate carrier can be easily changed on the fly with front and back panels. The back panel can hold all kinds of “assault panel” configs and the front panel different pouches for different calibers. Pouches that one plans to keep on the back are smart to attach to a panel as the pouches/panel can then be removed lickety-split if the back needs to be emptied for e.g. backpacks.

Front panels attach with velcro and Fastex buckles. Front panels attach with appropriately protected zippers and hooks that catch the PALS matrix. We found in our test runs that, after the break-in period, the panel can be attached and detached in under a minute. The attachment area for front panels is compatible with most SwiftClip system chest rigs and front panels!

Plate bags – the tolerable lightness

No effort was spared when the plate bags were designed: rounded corners on the laser cuts to prevent wear and tear concentrating on a single point / to prevent the concentration of wear and tear on a singular point. In addition, the plate bags have a 3D patterning on the inner lining for better airflow. The inside of the bags is slightly rubber-like, making a bit smaller plates stay better in place. The attachment flaps are especially long and they make using even oversized plates possible. On the same note, groin covers and different “danglers” can also be attached. The plate carrier’s top has a velcro platform for attaching patches or e.g. radio tangents.

The cummerbund has elastic parts, which makes it nicely conform to movement and less constricting. The inside additionally has stiffeners inside for better weight distribution. However, the most brilliant feature is its “two-folded” construction: pouches can be attached on both the inner and outer sides. This allows the inner side to be used for attachment of e.g. additional plate bags or radio pouches, which will be/stay firm and so they have no effect on the plate carrier use.

Materials & manufacturing

The Templar’s Gear M05 products are manufactured from the Finnish Foxa 500 denier Foxdura fabric by using laser cut technology, which enabled us to reduce the weight of the gear without compromising reliability. The material meets the Finnish Defence Forces' requirements for IRR protection and the other materials are also IRR treated. This means that the products can be safely used even in situations where you need to be hidden in the IR spectrum!

The laser cut PALS webbings are also extremely durable, because they don’t have stitches which are prone to wear and tear. Special attention has been paid to quality control in Templar’s pouches and gear, because a significant portion of the company’s customers are officials, whose safety and well-being might depend on the gear.

Conscription in Finnish military

Well, since someone’s going to ask anyway, let’s answer: we do not know if this gear can be used when you are in general conscription. If you want to be polite, you can ask your officer, if it’s okay to use your own gear. However, it’s usually easier to apologize later than to get permission. If necessary, we recommend you demonstrate the features of the gear, for example in the IR spectrum, where you can clearly prove that this gear has been made for military use and is not some Chinese knock-off.

Templar's Gear products are delivered to us straight from the factory in Poland. This means that our product selection is updated to the latest and greatest generation almost in real time as replenishments are ordered. Thanks to the close cooperation and our frequent orders, we also have a chance to forward feedback and new ideas to the respective designers. If you as a user have any ideas for product development, we are happy to share them with Templar's Gear.

Extended two-year warranty

Templar’s Gear products are granted a two-year warranty. In more concrete manner this means for example products sold on this spring will have warranty for two action packed seasons of airsoft, shooting or whatever you do with them.

Warranty covers all problems that should arise from defective materials or poor craftsmanship. Carelessness or misuse voids the warranty.

1 Prices

Tradesoft Oy (Business ID 2560587-4) sells products within Finland and the EU, as well as to many non-EU countries. All of the prices in our web shop include Finnish VAT (24 %). The currency is euro (€). We reserve the right to price changes.

Finland and other EU countries
The total of the order can be seen in the shopping cart after the correct shipping and payment method have been chosen. No further costs will be charged by Tradesoft.

Non-EU Countries
Some areas that belong to EU countries (see list) are excluded from EU VAT policy, and will be treated as countries outside the European Union. Orders shipped to non-EU countries will be sent out VAT free. However, you are still responsible for paying the customs duty and VAT in your own country before receiving the order.

2 Shipping and delivery

We use Matkahuolto and Posti, the Finnish postal service, for shipping domestic orders. International orders are shipped with GLS and Posti. The available shipping methods will automatically be listed in your shopping cart depending on the products and the shipping country.

Customer is responsible for customs clearance in country of delivery. In addition, customer must ensure that none of the goods are prohibited or require special handling in country of delivery. 

2.1 Delivery time and tracking

All orders placed before 1 pm (Eastern European Time) will be shipped on the same or following business day. The estimated delivery time can be seen on the product page and in your shopping cart after choosing the correct shipping country. If the order contains for example installation services the delivery time may be postponed. If a product is out of stock, we will contact the customer with an updated estimation of the delivery time.

You can track your order by logging in to your account, or by going to the following tracking site. You need your order number and the email address that was given when placing the order to track your order.

2.2 Shipping methods and costs

The available shipping methods are updated automatically when you choose your shipping country. The total shipping costs depend on the products and the total value of your shopping cart. Some shipping methods also qualify for free shipping after a certain total cart value has been reached.

Matkahuolto Near Parcel (incl. Parcel Point)

Delivery time 1-3 business days. Order can be picked up in Matkahuolto or at the following locations: Matkahuolto Parcel Point, K-market, R-kioski. Parcel point orders exceeding 1 parcel or 30 kg will be sent to a Matkahuolto terminal.

Matkahuolto Bus Parcel (only Cash On Delivery)

Delivery time 1-3 business days. Order is picked up at a Matkahuolto terminal.

Matkahuolto Bus Parcel (ADR service)

Delivery time 1-3 business days. Order contains ADR products and can only be delivered to Matkahuolto pickup point. ADR handling fee for dangerous goods is included in shipping costs.

Matkahuolto Home Delivery

Delivery time 1-3 business days. Order is delivered to your home on weekdays at the time that has been agreed on with you. You may also request the parcel to be delivered to your door without signature confirmation.

Posti Letter

Delivery time 1-4 business days. Order is delivered to your home as basic letter (2nd class). If the letter will not fit through the letter hole the order will be taken to your nearest post office. You will then receive notice of arrival. No tracking available.

Posti Domestic Parcel and SmartPost Parcel Point

Delivery time 1-4 business days. Order is picked up at post office or SmartPost Parcel Point. You receive a text message for SmartPost orders with a code to pick up the order. Remember to take a credit/debit card with you, if you chose Cash on Delivery.

Posti Domestic Parcel to Military Garrison (READ details!)

Delivery time 1-4 business days. Order is sent to military garrison and delivered to you according to its mode of operation. Enter your military garrison, unit and rank as the company name and include the garrison's address in respective fields.

2.3 Missing products or damaged package

Always check the contents of the package immediately upon delivery. If there are products missing or the package has been damaged, contact the shipping company and our customer service. If you do not inform us in time, you may lose your right to a refund or return the product.

2.4 Check product compatibility before ordering

2.5 Force majeure and order restrictions

We are not responsible for the delivery being delayed or suspended due to a strike, natural disaster, confiscation, import or export restriction, or anything else that interferes with our business. We are also not responsible for packages that are refused, seized or denied entry by the customs agency or recipient.

Some shipping companies have restrictions for products, such as airsoft guns and gas. Therefore these products cannot be shipped with for example Posti (the Finnish postal service). Because of this we may not be able to ship all products to your country. You can check the available products by choosing your shipping country in the shopping cart – all available shipping methods will then be listed automatically.

3 Paying for your order

We offer various payment methods through our partners like the Finnish Paytrail, as well as Matkahuolto and Posti in the form of Cash On Delivery. In addition to these web shop payment methods, you can pay in cash or with your credit/debit card in our walk-in store in Turku, Finland. The available payment methods will automatically be listed in your shopping cart depending on the chosen shipping method and the shipping country.

4 Warranty

All of our products are covered with a warranty of at least one month. The warranty period of each product is stated on the order receipt. The warranty covers normal use of the product and is void if the product is modified or disassembled. In addition, using an unmodified stock gun with a battery exceeding the nominal voltage or nominal capacity stated in the product description, also voids the warranty.

The warranty does not cover products like airsoft guns that have broken after being used in cold or damp climate. The products have originally been designed for warm climates and we cannot therefore guarantee that they function normally in sub-zero temperatures or in otherwise exceptional surroundings.

Remember that the product packaging and all contents including the order receipt are part of the product and needed for warranty processing. If you have lost your order receipt, you can easily print a new one in your account order history, or contact us with your customer details. If something is missing from the product or the product is not in good condition, we may have to compensate for the defect by lowering the total refund value.

If you think your product is broken always contact us before returning the product. Do not disassemble or try to repair the product yourself, as this may void the warranty. If there is not any defect in a product that has been returned to us for warranty processing, we may have to charge a warranty inspection fee and shipping costs.

New products are also covered by the six-month defect liability if the product lacks conformity. This means that if the product was defective at the time of the purchase we will repair or exchange the product within six months. This does not apply to products that have been disassembled, tuned or otherwise modified. In addition, products that have been misused or physically damaged are not covered by this guarantee.

5 Returning a product

All products must be returned in original condition, including product packaging and other accessories provided with the package. Pack the products carefully in the return parcel, so that they arrive in good condition. Only products that have not been used can be returned. However, you may try on for example clothes to make sure they fit.

NB! Products or services made to order to customers needs, like wires sold by the meter or Deans connector installation to battery, cannot be returned.

Remember to include the order receipt or order return form in the parcel. Mark the products you want to return and a short description of what you would like in exchange (different size, other product, refund). If you have lost the order receipt you can print a new one by logging in to your account on our website, or by printing out the order return form from the email you received with the title “Your order has been shipped”.

If you forget to include your contact information in the return package, contact us by email at info@tradesoft.fi. This helps us to identify your package and process the return as quickly as possible.

Always contact us by email at info@tradesoft.fi before returning a product.

FINLAND

All domestic orders can be returned for free within a month from receiving the package. Note that products must be returned with the same shipping company that you have chosen when placing your order. Matkahuolto Near parcels must also be returned from the same pickup point where you originally collected the order. Remember to always use our customer return number when sending the package – this way we will cover the shipping costs.

All orders outside of Finland can be returned within a month from receiving the package. The customer is responsible for all transportation fees and charges on any packages returned to Tradesoft. Eventual fees and charges to Tradesoft will be reduced from the value of the returned product before the refund is processed. Do not add Cash On Delivery (COD) or other extra services to the parcel, as these packages will be refused.

Make sure to use a postal service that insures you for the value of the products you are returning. Keep the receipt as proof of returning the products and send the tracking code to us by email at info@tradesoft.fi

5.1 Undeliverable package

FINLAND

If an order returns to us as undeliverable package, we will first contact the customer to arrange re-shipping. If the package returns to us a second time as undeliverable, we may charge the shipping costs for undelivered order. Customers that have chosen Cash On Delivery (COD) may lose their right to this payment method.

OTHER COUNTRIES

If an order returns to us as undeliverable package, we will charge the shipping costs by reducing the total shipping costs from the refund value of the order.

6 How to make changes to your order?

You may make changes to your order before it has been processed for shipping. Contact us immediately at info@tradesoft.fi and let us know how you would like to change the order. We will confirm the changes and then send you an updated order confirmation to your email. The order will be processed immediately when the outstanding balance has been paid.
